Hair Removal Johns Creek
Unwanted hair is a universal problem. All of us have spent time and money shaving, waxing, tweezing, or other methods to alleviate this nuisance. The problem with all of these methods, however, is that the hair keeps coming back! To meet the need for longer-lasting hair removal solutions and to offer our patients the absolute best service in the area, Allure Aesthetic Center (AAC) has brought on laser hair removal to our service menu.
While body hair is natural, that doesn’t mean you need to live with it if you chose. You also don’t need to spend every morning shaving to maintain your smooth skin. Our trusted providers at Allure Aesthetic Center have multiple years of experience and can recommend the ideal treatment for your skin and hair needs.
Laser hair removal technology uses a concentrated beam of light that is attracted to the pigment in each hair. The light then transmits energy that travels down the hair and into the follicle. The highly concentrated beam of light penetrates the follicle, damaging it, which results in impaired future growth.

What Laser do you Use?
Here at Allure Aesthetic Center we use the Aerolase laser. More information about the Aerolase is mentioned below.
The Aerolase Laser
Excellence in Laser Skin Health
Aerolase is a worldwide technology leader for laser skin health. Our lasers are the product of more than two decades of research and development. Aerolase provides integrated solutions to the most commonly seen dermatological conditions and in-demand aesthetic procedures. The Aerolase laser substantially improve treatment outcomes and patient experiences.
Since 1996, Aerolase has been leading the clinical research and development for the advancement of medical aesthetic laser technology and its applications. Our corporate name is derived from our patented advanced technology, the air-cooled medical aesthetic laser. This provides new levels of clinical versatility, practical utility and cost-effectiveness. Aerolase has minimized mass, while maximizing performance and reliability.
Traditional “big-box” lasers, introduced during the 1990’s, quickly became the gold-standard medical aesthetic laser modalities, but these lasers’ designs have not changed since that time and still possess all the clinical and design inefficiencies of that era. Aerolase developed its revolutionary LightPod lasers to incorporate the best features of traditional big box lasers, while adding new innovative enhancements that result in a combination of efficacy, safety, and unmatched versatility by any other medical aesthetic laser system on the market.
To achieve this, Aerolase has designed its LightPod lasers to deliver the highest optical power with uniquely optimized laser pulse parameters based on more than a decade of clinical research.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs
Is it permanent?
Laser hair removal is permanent hair reduction, not permanent hair removal. Maintenance is normally required once a year to retain the follicular damage even if the area has been completely treated.
What are the risks?
Risks include, but are not limited to, blistering, scarring, and burns that can discolor the skin. It is important to make sure that you are going to a provider who understands lasers and skin types to avoid these risks. Mild redness and swelling are normal after each treatment.
Does it hurt?
When the light hits the skin, a stinging sensation may occur. You normally hear that laser treatments feel like a rubber band being popped on the skin. This sensation will only be felt when the laser is actually penetrating the hair follicle, so for one millisecond! Once the treatment is completed you may be a little red and swollen, however you should not be in any pain before leaving the office.
Will it work on my skin type and hair color?
Blonde, gray, or light red hair is more difficult to treat due to the lack of pigment. Because lasers are attracted to pigment they do not recognize light hair and red pigment. Here at Allure Aesthetic Center, our laser uses advanced technology to decipher between hair pigment and skin pigment making it safe for all skin colors.
How long does it take?
The procedure time depends on the areas being treated. Smaller areas can be completed in 5 – 10 minutes, whereas larger areas (back, leg, etc.) can take up to 45 minutes. Lasers need to be done with at least five to 6 treatments. Most people see a dramatic reduction of hair after three or four treatments.
