Injectables for Gentlemen
Botox $12 per unit
Botox Cosmetics is the most popular aesthetic treatment for reduction of wrinkles. It was broadly studied and approved in 78 countries and got FDA approval in 2002 to improve frown lines between the eyebrows, around eyes and on the forehead without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face.
Botox can also be used to treat chronic migraines, hyperhidrosis (severe underarm sweating) and TMJ.
Approximately 1 out of 10 Botox patients are men.
Dysport $5 per unit
Dysport (botulinum toxin type A, which is isolated and purified from Clostridium bacteria producing BoNT-A) is a prescription injection; used as an alternative to Botox Cosmetics to temporarily relax facial muscles, improving frown lines between the eyebrows, around eyes, and on the forehead, without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face.
Dysport is approved in 57 countries and clinically used over 25 years.
Dysport has been FDA approved in the United States since 2009.
Jeuveau $10 per unit
Jeuveau is one of the newest toxins on the marker and has been FDA approved in the United States since 2019.
Jeuveau is currently referred to as the “New Botox,” or “Newtox.” Similar to Botox, Jeuveau is an injectable neurotoxin medication made from botulinum toxin Type A, and both work on the same principle to temporarily relax muscle in between the eyes, forehead and crow’s feet, smoothing out the wrinkles and creases in the face.
However, there are minor differences in the manufacturing processes for each product, and those minor differences can result in Botox being a little more effective for certain patients, and Jeuveau a little more effective for others. Overall, however, they are incredibly similar in nature.
These treatment procedures usually take 10-15 minutes. After the procedure, patients may experience minor pain or bruising and swelling at the injection area but it quickly resolves. Results are seen in 7-14 days and typically last 3 to 4 months.
Restylane Family of Fillers
$679-699 per syringe
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid filler that has been approved by the US FDA since 2005. These fillers help to smooth smile lines from nose to mouth, marionette lines from the mouth to the chin, and fill in hollowness under the eyes.
After the procedure, the patient might experience some side effects such as redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, and discoloration.
These side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a week. Results last 9 to 18 months
RHA Family of Fillers
$679 per syringe
RHA is a new filler line on the market approved in the US to be used by only a handful of prestigious offices. Containing fewer chemical modifications and processed at a lower temperature during manufacturing than other HA (hyaluronic acid) fillers, RHA Fillers maintain more of their natural structure.
The result is a more stable and resilient consistency, earning it the name resilient hyaluronic acid (RHA). Available in three increasing levels of firmness to address a multitude of aesthetic concerns: RHA 2, RHA 3, and RHA 4.
After the procedure, the patient might experience some side effects such as redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, and discoloration.
These side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a week. Results last 9 to 18 months
Radiesse $699 per 1.5 ml syringe
Radiesse dermal filler is an FDA approved treatment that is used to smooth sever facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds (the line between the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth) and the marionette lines (run down from the mouth).
Radiesse is commonly used as a treatment for cheeks and surrounding areas to correct volume loss.
Radiesse is made of tiny calcium based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. It’s the only calcium based dermal filler on the US market, which stimulates the natural production of collagen.
To minimize discomfort during the treatment, Radiesse is mixed with Lidocaine. The calcium microspheres begin to work immediately pumping the volume under the skin. Sometimes patients might have side effects such as bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, but it is minor and typically dissipate within a week.
Procedure normally takes 15-20 minutes and results last up to 24 months.
Kybella $599 per 2 ml vial
Kybella is the first and only FDA approved solution to contour the appearance of submental fullness under your chin (double chin). You don’t need to be overweight to form it. There are many other factors generating extra fat in this area such as genetics or aging. The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) in 2015 conducted a study where they found that 67% of people were really bothered about their fat beneath their chin.
Kybella is a minimally invasive solution to treat severe fullness beneath the chin. Kybella solution consists of synthetic deoxycholic acid. This acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that is responsible for braking down fat. Injected into fatty tissue beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin.
Patients typically require 2-4 procedures to reach optimal results. Up to 10 mL may be injected in a single treatment, but dosing depends on patient’s submental fat distribution and personal goals. Kybella injections can be given every 4-8 weeks.
Usually this procedure takes 15-20 minutes. Possible side effects include: swelling, bruising, numbness, redness, and some hardness in the treatment area.
Most patients notice visible improvement after one treatment. The results of Kybella are long lasting because fat cells are permanently destroyed during treatment and will not regenerate again if patient will maintain a healthy weight.
